146.910MHz (PL Tone 100.0Hz) Repeater:
The clubs' 146.910 Mhz repeater, PL 100.0 Hz is located in Fordland, Missouri on tower space provided by KWFC Radio. The repeater is a split antenna system with the receive antenna at 850 feet and the transmit antenna at 650 feet. Both antennas are Andrew DB-228Es and are positioned in the 11 db pattern. The hardline connected to the receive antenna is Andrew 1 1/4",the transmit antenna is fed with Andrew 1 5/8". The repeater itself is comprised of two Vertex VX-4104 mobiles, a TE Sytems 350 Watt amplifier, and an Arcom RC-210 three port repeater controller. To enhance performance of the repeater a DCI intermod filter, Par Electronics FM broadcast filter, and an Advanced Receiver research 24 db gain preamp were added. This repeater is truly a wide coverage machine with solid reports from Tulsa, Oklahoma; Clinton, Missouri; Rogers, Arkansas and Rolla, Missouri. Handheld coverage reports have been received from Branson, Missouri; Greenfield, Missouri; and all along the I-44 corridor. This repeater transmits at 1 Kilowatt ERP
444.400MHz (PL Tone 100.0Hz) Repeater:
The repeater is on the Fordland, Missouri tower along with the 146.910 MHz repeater. The antenna is an Andrew DB-420 and is located at the 550 foot mark on the tower. The hardline is Andrew 7/8" and runs directly to the Celwave UHF duplexer. The repeater is comprised of two Vertex VX-4208 mobiles and uses one of the ports on the Arcom RC-210 repeater controller. This machine is linked full time to the 146.910MHz repeater and the system can be accessed by either UHF or VHF. This repeater transmits at 450 watts ERP.
146.640MHz (PL Tone 100.0Hz) Repeater:
This repeater is located on top of Hammons Tower in Downtown Springfield, Missouri. This is a very simple repeater, but has very good coverage. The antenna is an Andrew DB-224E with a short run of LMR400 coax cable that connects to the duplexers. The repeater is comprised of two Vertex VX-4104 mobiles and uses a Arcom RC-210 repeater controller. This repeater transmits at 300 watts ERP and generally has about 50 miles of mobile coverage.
